Hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, The Orvald Wayne Show is making waves in Canadian country music with their signature blend of heartfelt storytelling, rich harmonies, and classic country instrumentation. Rooted in Alberta’s landscapes and small-town spirit, their songs capture raw emotion, from foot-stomping anthems to soul-stirring ballads. Frontman Ty Orvald Wayne Lindberg began his musical journey with solo shows in early 2024, captivating audiences with his unique blend of country and folk. Recognizing the potential to enhance the sound, he assembled a talented backing band featuring members from Edmonton's You Me & Zach. Their collaborative efforts led to the release of a self-titled EP in September 2024, featuring tracks like "Like a Crow Flies," "Pretty Little Lady from the Fair," and "Maybellene." This was followed by the single "Dear Alberta" in October 2024, an ode to their home province. In late 2024, Jamie Kitlarchuk joined the group, adding pedal steel to really juice things up. In November 2024, The Orvald Wayne Show showcased their talent on CJSR 88.5 FM's "It Takes a Village," hosted by Rhea March. This live performance is available online and helped highlight the groups deep connection to Alberta's country roots. Known for electrifying live shows and a palpable passion for their art, it's more than just a band—it’s a movement of storytelling and authenticity. Music for Alberta, from Alberta.
